Nosferatu

based on the original 1922 shooting script by F.W. Murnau

In July of 2006, our director Ed saw a puppet show inside the arch at Brooklyn's Grand Army Plaza. The space was damp, gloomy and literally falling apart. He thought it'd be the perfect place for a production of Nosferatu.

The only problem...Nosferatu wasn't a play. Solution: find the shooting script (thank-you, Mr. Internet), secure the location (thank-you, Prospect Park Alliance & Puppeteers Cooperative), get into rehearsal and see what happens.

The result, presented on the weekends surrounding Halloween of course, thrilled audiences and inspired Rabbit Hole's commitment to spend an entire year developing the work with award-winning playwright Stanton Wood.

The first half of the story is told in Land of the Undead.
The second half is told in Nosferatu: The Morning of My Death.
Both halves come together in The Night of Nosferatu.
