Amanda Broomell

Actor

After graduating from NYU's Experimental Theater Program, Amanda worked as an actor and also became a Certified Holistic Health Counselor (www.neubalance.com). In 2004, she started working full-time as an Assistant to a Talent Agent at Don Buchwald & Associates and began acting with Rabbit Hole in 2005. She performed in "The Transformation of Dr. Jekyll" in the Fringe Festival and "The Siblings" in the Midtown International Theater Festival. This new creative relationship reminded her how much she wanted acting to be her full-time job, so in 2006, she decided to attend Columbia University's Graduate Acting Program in order to deepen her training and become a better, more versatile actor.

Before graduating in May 2009, Amanda had the opportunity to work with the most brilliant instructors in the world: Kristin Linklater, Anne Bogart, Andrei Serban, Niky & Ulla Wolcz, Kim Weild and Andrea Haring, among many others. Her favorite roles include Cherie in "Bus Stop," Pozzo in "Waiting for Godot," Marie in "Woyzeck," and Bella/Eleanor in "Big Love." She has been exposed to every kind of technique and every kind of theater style possible and is now fully prepared to face the inimitable beast that is "Candide Americana." Bring. It. On.
